Hey spliffs mate.
I have sent out a PM discussing your stats and a few other things but below is some general advice I would give (most is similar to L67C and Aaron's)
Firstly yes your game has came on a great deal and will continue to improve as you learn and gain more experience in the more refined aspects of the game.
But I would not recommend jumping to playing pro, now or in the near future.
Depending on poker to pay the bills is a massive jump and a massive risk.
Furthermore with a family it could also be considered a degree selfish and niave. As failure will have a severe impact on them.
It is ctitical to be adaquately rolled to pay the bills for up to at least 6 months and probably 9-12 months as Aaron stated.
As L67C mentioned that a large amount of players make a nice profit at $1/$2 Cash tables, $20-$50 SitnGo's etc and may then decide to "turn pro" but then can not cope with the added stress etc and ultimately it results in failure and financial problems.
There will be be exceptions, but for the reasons listed by others and myself I would not recommend it at the minute or anytime in the near future.
Sorry if that sounds harsh or whatever, but I think I needed to give you some clear friendly advice.
The PM should help backup up reasons even moreso.
