We are preparing to launch a new software version (V5.6) and the guvnors want to know if you would like to pre-test it for them and give your feedback.

I told them that was a great idea as you guys are the most reactive with things like this and if the recent 'Talk to 888' session are anything to go by, we should get lots of good feedback and comments for you.

I have persuaded them to part with some cash as a reward for doing this in the shape of a $250 Free Roll tournament for everyone that participates.

To qualify you will have to download the V5.6 software, play on it and report back with your feedback and comments.

Please only post your feedback in this thread.

In addition, if you discover anything that is not right and need attention, please also post full details of this including screenshots if possible.

In the next few days you will be able to download the new beta version from HERE (TEST FINISHED)

We will highly appreciate if you can pay attention to both the new features (as described below) and also to the overall performance of the client in comparison to older versions.

Please play with this version for a day or two (if possible on more than one table to test the new multi table features) and then download again the official version from www.pacificpoker.com

Please note that due to technical reasons some of the features are not fully functional just yet.

Multi tabling features:

1.       New multi-table pop-up logic: Tables will pop-up, one by one, only after the player made a decision/move in the active table.

2.       Stop table animation in multi tabling: We disabled the table animation (chips and cards) when playing six or more tables. If you play less than 6 tables the animation will appear unless disabled in the Settings.

3.       Slider behavior: The increments of moving the slider will be in BB’s and not in cents. Players will still be able to bet/raise any non-rounded amounts using the betting box (and ENTER).

4.       Changes to the “look & feel” of the action buttons (Fold/Check/bet)

In addition you will see buttons/menu items that are not available in this BETA version:

1.       There will be NO ACCESS to the Rewards Plan

2.       “Open Identical” feature on the table and in the tournament lobby will not be working for now

There are many more minor changes in this version, that are not written in this mail.

I have downloaded it now and it only took about 1 minute and you DON'T have to unistall the old one either.

Dan did you remove just the software?

Going to give it a try but not sure about removing older one just yet
