oh dear i hate when this happens you have to think at least one of them has an ace,or do you?? first of all i think maybe a bigger raise at the start both players are getting good odds to call yes!!As for the next action is it a call and reevaluate or a decent raise if you raise and either get called or re raised then you have to give him credit for being on an ace look forward to the bigger guns giving there answers, the ace is a scary card not scary enough to get rid of me yet lol i post this coz i read all of these posts and am very eager still to learn and these posts are great for that these are difficult situs for sure for those of us still learning the game they get easier as we learn and gain experience so n1 wiggy, lastly are they tight/loose etc this helps an awful lot!!

Starting the hand with $66 - our $10.50 preflop raise leaves us approx $56 behind.
The problem with calling the $10 bet on the flop is our stack size(s) & the fact we are most likley drawing at two outs (QsQc) A Queen is the only card we are happy to see / makes us comfy on the Turn.
Personally I prefer a much larger preflop raise here OR a flat call (Villain dependant). I would prolly lean towards the larger pre flop raise though because of oppos stats.
The $10.50 pre flop re raise is defo on the small side - If called your OOP for the rest of the hand dont forget. (Remember position is HUGE.)
I would defo fold here, reload and wait for a better spot.
Money saved is just as good as money won.

100% agree with idi0! TBH I personally would have flat called due to my luck recently on the cash tables LOL Jeremy AKA Spliffis

the 10.50 would probably be a good raise amount if there was only 1 oppo.
Two, I'm probably going 14 or 16.
I don't mind calling $10 in this spot, but as idi0 pointed out, by playing short you limit your choices.
I typically try to reload to full buyin before every hand.
Theres short stack strategy, and then there is your normal play. The inbetween is where it can be difficult sometimes. -------------------------

I knew as soon as I made the raise it was way too small, there was allready $7.50 in the pot before I raised, when I replayed the hand I thought I should have raised to $15-20, I can still get away if I have to, and I can push a favourable flop, raising too little just invited 2 players to stick around for a flop, the player who called the original raise was paying to see most flops, so the first player who raised knew he would be playing a $30 pot and only needed 2 decent cards, as for not reloading pre this hand I had decided this was my last hand at this table, I was down $134, but I just didn't feel comfotable pushing QQ pre flop Anyway the rest of the hand is below, the eventual winner showed AQ o/s wiggy folds ** Dealing turn ** [ Qc ] lb17514 bets [$55.11] Chirrus folds ** Summary ** lb17514 did not show his hand lb17514 collected [ $51.30 ] |
