Great news for all the forum guys going to the Irish Open - Chipolita, who some of you may remember from the UK Open will be your host, doing everything to ensure you have a great time at the event.

She will also be providing us with photos, interviews and lots of backstage stuff live from the event.

Watch out though guys - she plays a mean game of poker, so be careful when challenging her!

Only reason I suggest it is at the end of the day, around midnight or whatever, there will be a couple spare tables that we could use, but the Open people won't let you use any chips. (for obvious reasons).

So there are tables but no chips, so if we want to play some sng's or something we'll need some.

On a more serious note: I'll double check with Jonny to see if he is taking across any chipsets (Chipolita is flying from Gibraltar, so she won't be able to bring any due to weight restrictions).

I did hope to have a load of 888forums' RailBird shirts made up (think Loopy's Parmo Army) but I am afraid that approval for the budget was not received in time.

Still, on a brighter note it looks as though the Irish Open is going to be a terrific event. I estimate that over 25 of you will be there! Make sure we are kept up to date with pictures, stories, twitter alerts and everything else!

Some of you might know that I went into a qualifier tonight for the Irish Open, well guys I made it, won my €3500 seat and will join papajac, aaron, baby david & all the rest of the 888 guys in this tournament.

I want to thank papa a million times over for railing me when the going got tough, for lending me his 888 jacket to keep me warm when going for my smoke breaks & his lucky glasses for keeping my hair out of my eyes & that 7up at 2.45am when I was starting to feel sick with the tiredness hehe. Sorry for keeping you up till after 3am, hope it doesn't interfere with your play tomorrow

Rick thanks for babysitting my 23yr old son Alan up in the room. As he told you if I'd seen him standing around I would be worrying if he wanted to go home or something stupid, just like mothers do hehe.

the action was fast & furious, with only 16,000 in chips, blinds at 6,000 & 3,000 with a 500 ante robertbh goes all in a7 vs a3, turns a 7 and takes a deep breath, double up & survival    next hand aj suited, all in again, fold around, steals 13,000 more.

then it was time to coast, very well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
