Okay guys, I am here to listen to your opinions.

As you probably can tell, our Monday Challenge $25K GNTD has not been going so well since we started (while most other days are actually doing quite nicely).

As you can probably understand, we won't be able to keep it at the current GNTD amount in this rate, but I don't want to lower it quite yet.

So, the question is how to tweak the tournament and keep the $25,000 mark.

I'll list a couple of options I thought of, but feel free to not only give feedback about them, but give your own offers.

-

Option #1 : "Double Chance". Keep the tournament at $50+$5, but add a single rebuy option. Anyone who busted out in the first X minutes can re-buy to his original stack.

Option #2 : "Discount Re-buys". Keep the tournament at $50+$5 (not mandatory) but add re-buy options for 1/2 price. If you busted out, or just shortstacked, you can re-buy for $25 and get back in the action.

Both options are good for the skilled players (you're not in the mercy of one early bad beat + some of the bad players will "donate" more money to the prize pool).

-

BUT, I'm open to any suggestion, as long as it doesn't include raising the GNTD amount.

This is a mutual goal here, as I wish to keep the tournaments at the highest GNTD amount I can justify to management and you guys, well, you want to play good tournaments.

And hey, you can leave your mark on our tournament schedule forever! (Or, you know, at least for a while).

Awaiting your feedbacks. I know you guys have some great ideas.

Yuv.

In no order.

x) Swap Monday and Thursdays challenge games around.

x) Reduce the GNT - make Mondays game 20k GNTD

x) Either of your options 1 or 2

x) Ask the 2+2 forum, we (888 forums) have zero budget remember.

Personally Yuv the Monday Challenge is actually one of my favourite challenges just the way it is.

I was a big fan of the old $20k Daily Guaranteed's and this is the challenge that most resembles the old $20k's.

Understandably if entries are low (which I am very aware they have) something needs done.

So although I enjoy the tourny just the way it is i believe the most sensible option would be the SINGLE rebuy. Thursday challenge is a rebuy tourny and you dont want to go down this route of a number of rebuys.

If needs be I would the $ Guaranteed could be lowered to $20k but i believe the structure of this is good.

But that is just my opinion.

Apologies in advance

The Casino side of things inside 888s head gets switched to overload.

And nobody's gonna play the $25k on Monday, 888 dont like to pay any overlay.

And Yuv don't understand it.

888 always said poker $$ was as good as gold.

888 can see no reason

But there are loads of reasons (WSoD / Player Notes OMGWTFBBq - STILL !!!! Lack of budget etc etc)

What reason do 888 need to be shown (again)

Tell us why
You don't like Mondays $25k
Tell us why
We don't like Mondays $25k
Tell me why
I don't like Mondays $25k

888 want to shoot
The whole poker side of the client down.

The rhetoric forum machine is kept so clean as it types to a waiting world

And 888 feels no shock
This forum's world is rocked

And their thoughts turn to
Their own little WSoD (One Moment please .. .. .. )
Sweet, 16 months+ now ain't that peachy keen

No, it ain't so neat for the Tech guys to admit defeat
They can see no reasons
BUT there are loads of reasons
What reason do 888 need (again)

Tell me why
You don't like Mondays $25k
Tell me why
We don't like Mondays $25k
Tell me why
I don't like Mondays $25k

I want to shoot

The whole poker side of the client down

down

down

All the playings stopped in the SnGs now 2+2 wants to bum hunt them a little while

And poker school's out early and soon we'll be learning
And the lesson today is playing Jacks

And then the support / promotions crackles And the captain crackles
With the many problems and the how's and why's

888 can see no reasons
BUT there are LOADS of reasons

What reason do 888 need to try

The Casino side of things ...

Im guessing that dropping the buyin a little wouldnt appeal to many people.

More satalites with garenteed seats are always good, They always seem to pay for them selfs anyway but personnally I like them because I know that I only have to get to the final table or final 2 tables.

Don't go discounted unlimited rebuys plzzzz.

1 R+A isn't a bad idea and would probably be worth a month of testing.

The simple fact is, you can tweak structures/buy ins/guarantees as much as you want, but you only have a limited number of MTT customers, and until the fundamental problems with the site are addressed, tweaking MTT schedules will only get you so far.

Case and point, the newest tweak has worked for the most part, but you still have holes (in monday).

Until issues such as the Vista Software Crash (or White Screen of Death), are resolved...people won't make the time to play expensives games on the regular. You'll be fine for one or two days a week, but try to push 3 or 4+, you'll run into problems.

i dont like the idea of any re-buys full stop and if a bottom line is rebuys or drop the gtd amount to 15/20k then dropping the gtd amount would be a better option as for site traffic etc well said as ever aaron WSOD or whatever you want to call it is a major issue and needs to be sorted the challenge series has been a success i think the majority will say just that but to continue onwards and upwards WSOD must be got rid of once and for all!!!

Although I like the Monday Challenge game I only play it if I can sat into it. The buy in is to high.

If it were to change into a re-buy format it would be another challenge game I would not attempt to play. Some due to the style of the game or buy in, but in this instance my BR would not be able to cover the outlay needed to play confidently, even if I had won the seat.
