Ok I probably have too much time on my hands but here’s some idea of what you will have to do to get from bronze to silver as a sng/mtt player, be warned it may not make nice reading

Ok you need 500 status points to get from bronze to silver, so we’ll work on a 30 day month, to get 500 points playing for 30 days you need to earn 16.66666 (you get the idea) points per day so we’ll work on 17 points, you get 2 points for every $1 in mtt/sng  fees you pay so your going to have to pay $8.50 to get 17 points, well that’s not so bad is it?

Well let’s go see, we will assume that being a bronze level player the games you play most are 2.50 and 5.50 mtt’s/sng’s, we’ll use turbo sng’s to be fair as they are going to be quicker

6 seat turbo sng, buy in $2.50+30c = 29 games for 17 points, that’s a lot of games and is going to cost you $81.20, so you had better win a fair few games and be good at multi tabling, or you will need to play all day and have deep pockets

6 seat turbo sng, buy in $5+50c = 17 games for 17 points, that’s still quite a few games and will cost you $93.50, so the same applies to these games as well

And if you swap to 10 handed games, you just have to get through a few more players for a bigger pay out, but you pay higher fees so you should play less games

10 seat turbo sng, buy in $2.50+40c = 22 games for 17 points, 7 less games than the 6 seat option and will cost you $63.80, so a bit of a saving

There isn’t a 10 seat turbo $5.50 option, so you would have to play a 10 handed normal game at exactly the same cost as the 6 handed turbo, but it’s going to be a longer game

And don’t forget you have to do this every day for 30 days, and if you want to retain your new silver status you have to do this for 30 days every month

Mtt’s take a lot longer to play than sng’s, and in some cases the fees are cheaper like $2.20+20c so you can imagine the volume you are going to have to play there

I didn’t bother going into the multi table option as this has to be personal choice, some are comfortable with it some aren’t, but now you can see just what you have to do just playing sng’s for silver status

I did say it may not make nice reading

So if a manager ever reads this thread

How about you doubling the status points per $ for tourney sng play? you dont have to double the reward points, although that would be nice too

It might give these players just a glimmer of hope and keep them happy, and after all happy customers are regular customers

But I think I know what reply to expect

yes and the biggest problem facing all SnG players is that because the site is P***ING every 1 off , players are leaving in their droves and their aint enough people /players to multi table .

they deffo need to up the points / $ or the site will die a slow death ,, well i believe its started already , so i guess it may just wham every 1 in the face all of a sudden,,

they desperatly need to attract players here that are willing to stay .

is my biggest gripe you and me and just about anyone who has looked in to this will say if you play exc; mtts like most it is out reach way way out of reach and no wayon earth can you hit ok reward the cash table players they do pay more rake but equalise it a bit it seems its a have and have not argument and i say it again if you are an exclusive mtt player you ZERO CHANCE of going from bronze to silver and thats that simpless

Ive got something to say, its better to burn out than fade away

i have tried to see which way will move me up and i even did a heads up game for ages both me and this polish guy had a pretty good game in the end but we both started with 30 dollars and played for ages in the end we both ended up with 21 dollars and u can guess who got the 18  dollars. yet when i checked my reward i could not believe how little it had not moved.

i don't do cash games as a rule but gave it a try as i was bored i won't be doing it again.

to be honest with all this i did say within an hour of this new scheme being introduced it was a load of rubbish and everyone said tot's u gotta give it a chance mate tot's how can u say that when u have not looked at it all.

well after 3 months my view is the same its a total load of rubbish.

now i have got silver and to be honest it cost me an arm and a leg and my bankroll.

i can not see any benefit of silver wat so ever. i have gone for platium in the special games and have been 1 card off winning it 3 times.

i have gone for gold in special games and been 2nd 3rd and 4th but not won it.

now what i would like to see introduce is this.

at the start of the year when we start at zero. we get a choice.

like this.

if we only play sit and go and multi games then we can work our status up as we go along and it does not go back to zero at the start of every month so over the year we can get to a higher status.

if we go for this choice then if we play in the casino or cash games then we only get the bonus points for the dollars.

or if u want to count all of your playing from the casino to cash games and so on then it changes like it is now.

i am sure most of us doing just sit and go and multi games won't get passed platium but it does give us a half decent chance by the end of the year to have got there and a few good freerolls and not only that it mite and i say mite stop people from opening loads of accounts to play the 7 day free rolls and the 50k seat game they do once a week.

i have notice that for the last 2 weeks the first depositers game is getting over 300 in it every nite and the 50k seat game is getting well over 200 in it. i am sure the sites are not getting all these new players.

i have been here for years and normally u got around 125 to 150 new members a week in the first depositers. but am sure since they introduce the 50k seat game and the old 100k seat game people are just opening accounts and then when they have used up the free stuff closed them and opened another one. i could be wrong.

but i would be a little happier if we could keep our status running over the year if we just count sit and go and multi games.

don't think it will happen but am sure it would show 888 how many real loyal members they have. after all there are a fair few forum members like my self that play for hours and hours and hours. but don't move on the status ladder.

byes for now tot's.

out of interest without playiing in the casino in june and july i never got half way to silver and i was playing over 12 hours aday every day from winning the ofc game. so shows how hard it is for normal players.

i am pretty sure as well if we kept our status for a year with out it changing back to zero and the way i play i be very lucky indeed to reach platium and i think gold would be pretty hard to reach as well.

byes again tot's

just one other thing but i don't recommend it but mite work.

if u have a decent bank roll and can afford to lose say 100 bucks.

if u play 1 dollar on red or black at roulette with it being a 50 50 chance and put the auto on and let it spin all day long in theory u should break even or there abouts and ur status would go up for nothing but i am not prepared to do it. but mite work.

if i win a couple of k in a game i give it a try and see wat happens after all if u did break even or there abouts after say 5000 spins then  u could move up to 10 dollars a spin bit more risk but for every 1000 dollars u play u get one 100 status points. i think thats rite.

so if u can break even over about 500,000 spins at 10 dollars a spin u mite just get near vip. lol

i wonder how many people are vip diamonds they don't seem to get any special games do they. lol,
