Hey Danny sorry to have to correct you but the difference between gold and platinium is much more if you earn the status by playing rather than winning a status reward tourny,

PS I had to replace fullstops with commas!

FOR GOLD at $750 of rake (1500 Status Points and Gold Status) the reward points generated (assuming gold status was achieved in the previous month) would be 6,750 (1500 x 4,5) which is worth $67,50
Rake = $750
Reward Points (RP) = 6,750
Value of RP ie. rakeback = $67,50

FOR PLATINIUM at $2,250 dollars of rake (4500 points which just makes Platinium) the reward points generated (assuming platinium status was achieved in the previous month) would be 40,500 (4500 x 9) which is worth $405
Rake = $2,250
Reward Points (RP) = 40,500
Value of RP ie, rakeback = $405

Difference = 405 - 67,50 = $337,50

I understand you may have been reffering to the situation where someone won platinium status via a reward tourny.

$750 of rake at platinium would = 1,500 Status Points and 13500 Reward Points which = $135, so the difference for a Gold player winning platinium and contributing $750 in rake for the month would still be $67.5 (135-67,5)

Hope this Just wanted to clear that up Danny to help members that aint too sure,

yes thanks for that sacman i was assuming as i know most of these players and they are mainly mtt/sng players so $750 of rake at gold is 150x ($50+$5tourneys) so if right to achieve gold and stay at it you must invest $8,250 and hope you go deep in 2/3 at very least and hope you dont have a bad month but not to worry hey theres always the $67,50c 888 will Reward you with this is the point i was making just in case anyone is not sure about it! my quip about a few dollars more for mainly mtt/sng players i stand by mate yes please correct any of the above if its wrong cheers its not far off though am sure yes n1!!

No problem Danny mate just wanted to clear it up for anyone else reading this, so gona add the silver rewards to:

FOR SILVER at $250 of rake (500 Status Points and Gold Status) the reward points generated (assuming gold status was achieved in the previous month) would be 1,000 (500 x 2) which is worth $10

Rake = $250
Reward Points (RP) = 1,000
Value of RP ie. rakeback = $10

So difference between just making silver and just making gold each month would be $57 (67-10)

But the case will often be that a player comes close to Gold but misses and then one month makes Gold so actual difference is likely to be less than $57.

cool mate as you are an accountant i certainly aint arguing with the figures lol i should quite clearly have been more "clear" lol it was the mtt/sng player i was referring to but yes as i said your figures (as always ) are spot on but also to clarify for newbies rake is what you pay to the site for them putting the game on so if you pay $5+50c in to a tourney 50c of this is rake and to achieve gold you must contribute $750 of this easy really just play 50 of these a day for a month (30 days)hahahaha sorry cant help myself hehehe

i think we all have to agree first in the point that a normal low bankroll-player never would achieve platinum or even gold status, if he becomes lucky he becomes maybe silver. if you see how much rake you have to pay before going up in your status i think most people cant do that, and of course most people arent winning players. most people have a small bankroll and are playing till their bankroll gots eaten bite by bite of the pokersite and will do a few more bucks in their account next month to have some fun by playing poker with friends. they will do maybe by using a bonuscode and have to get many ffps to claim this bonus. if you are in higher status you have defo more chances to get them and earn the bonus. but like i said getting higher status is out of reach for most players, so only chance would be to win a game of this rewardones. and this games, like the goldrush are normal games with a 5$ buyin, with the chance to get goldstatus on top. ...and i have to say that me winning the platinumgame was worth 78$ for me lol so i still got a kind of rewards. most important would be in my opinion why 888 is getting around 10% rake for their very nice support!? lol but oki for me, i nearly never play any games on 888 where they get money by me, besides the forumgames which i like most and where my virtual friends are(hope to see many of you in real soon) all in all i think its worth playing this rewardgames for most of us, so gl all
