well the gala idea sounds good to me the friday tourney is a right donkfest rebuy suits me down to the ground

as for transport it seems to me people could share the cost by sharing eg.me loopy kristova and even lambone all north east(mmmmm sharing with a mackem)so expenses kept down.......

one thing id really like to see is a trophy for the winner....

I think the venue should be in either Manchester Birmingham or Liverpool. I feel that Liverpool would make the perfect venue for the following reasons:

Its central location for players from england and scotland.

Its Airport which has frequent flights to and from Ireland and the rest of Europe.

Its transport and road links. M1 - M6 from the south and the m62 in from the east. A1 - M1 from the north. Anyone who books a train ticket way in advance will get it very cheap in compared to a normal ticket.

Accomodation is dirt cheap in comparison to most of ther major cities and as I mentioned before there is a travel lodge next door to the casino. I would also be able to cater for between 4-6 people (2 spare rooms and a sofabed and couch to offer).   

Leos is a state of the art modern casino with stunning views of the liverpool waterfront and they have offered a very competitive package. For those who wish to play on friday as boro said you will find a very loose and profitable game there. I will also have sit and goes at my place for anyone who's interested.

As for the main tourney Buy in as this is a big avent and for some possibly the biggest live game they might of playerd I feel a buy in of 50 pound is not to unreasonable but I'm open to any suggestions.

Firstly, I'm delighted to find that I share a birthday with the 888 forum.

Secondly, I'll go wherever it's arranged - it's a fantastic idea.

I've only just seen this thread,been away and also busy away from pc.Looking at wiggy's proposed sats and tourny starting at 2pm Sunday,in my opinion depending on numbers this is cutting things tight if you are to have a meaningful main event with decent blinds structure.Remember this is live not online and 15 hands per hour is about norm depending on table size.

Decide what type of tourney you want,number of chips and blind time,size of blind increase and get approx numbers of players then feed it into a tourney master to get a realistic game time.

I think a two day event with final 20 players on the Sunday kicking off at 2pm would be the ideal.For those no longer involved have a secondary event to run alongside the final tables or a series of sng's with all winners on a separate final table.That way everyone stays involved to the end
