Right:

1) An enjoyable weekend where I get to put the face to the name and cement my friendship with many forumers

2) Get chance to play a good quality game, well structured etc. with friends

3) Have a few "social events" ie. organise something different for us, even the likes of bowling etc and then out to a few bars, it should be much more than a poker playing session!

4) To know that everyone enjoyed it and did not feel overly burdened with the price

5) Plenty of photos!!! But they will be edited for descency before posting on the forum -
Wouldnt want anyone seeing mymandann photo after "I believe in miracles...."

What does anyone else want ???

Agreed! Especially the overburdoned wit hthe price bit.

Personally if it ends up in the south of england I'm priced out. As for the buy in, well on a game to remember I think 50 quid is perfect.

I just want a fun game with lots of friends from the forum and as little stress related hassle as possible.

Well if I was able to attend , would like to ;

1/ meet all the new friends have made through the forum

2/ be able to play in a couple of fun games , like ie: a tag team game where you are paired up with another forum member by ballot or something and you play a game some sort of prize like a dinner for 4 etc: only one playing at a time and you tag in and out of the game until one pair win

3/ maybe a cocktail party meet and greet the first night , say the Friday night with the first card game starting early Saturday morning , just a fun game

4/ have something organised for partners who are not playing, i don't know not knowing the area but if it was here for instance , i'd have maybe a cruise of the harbour , a visit to the wildlife park or crocodile park , a bus tour to a tourist spot or two , a game of golf and or indoor / outdoor bowls , a city tour / shopping trip , ok you get the idea

5/ a banquet dinner / dance for the players and thier guests ( with birthday cake)

6/ invite a couple of poker pro's sponsored by 888 ( like papajac) who do they sponsor? anyway have one or two thier to give a talk or two about how to improve poker skills , maybe a couple of hands on practice / instruction games (short and quick) i'd like some face time with a pro or two to get some tips and so on to help improve my game

7/ see if we can afford a photographer to go around taking pics of all things

8/ would love to come away with a T-shirt or polo shirt (blouse for the girls ?) announcing to all that I had attended the inaugeral 888 forum birthday bash in 2010 (want a shirt anyway)

9/ maybe a raffle or 3 for some 888 memorabilia items or something , proceeds to a special charity (childrens charity is always very popular or breast cancer , make a wish foundation something like that)

10/ a game of something for non poker players to be involved in with chance to win something ie: darts , putt putt golf , something like that

11/ the main event , well organised, easy to undestand (I like sacmans ideas on that) where everyone has fun and goes away happy no matter what ( maybe a booby prize for the first out , whoever gets first quads, anyone gets a royal flush etc

12/ a farewell cocktail party to say so long to new found reality friends

Cheers,

Brian
