Moon Wins Blinds Battle with Shulman

The table folded around to Jeff Shulman who raised to 750,000 from the small blind, and Darvin Moon called from the big blind.

The flop came {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Shulman checked, and Moon checked behind. The turn brought the {10-Hearts}. Shulman bet 950,000 this time, and when Moon put in a raise Shulman let it go.

Moon is at 25.4 million, and Shulman 14.7 million.

Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again.

Jamie Robbins Doubles through Joe Cada... In Dramatic Fashion

Joe Cada opened for 600,000, Jamie Robbins moved all in 1,370,000 and Cada snap-called.

Robbins {10-Spades} {10-Clubs}
Cada {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}

The flop was no help for Robbins, coming down {K-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {5-Clubs}, and BOOM! The {10-Hearts} spiked on the river.

The crowd roared in collective disbelief at yet another two-outer as Robbins doubled to 3,310,000.

Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again.

And meeting again, after moments or a lifetime, is certain for those who are friends.

Shulman Pushes Out Smith

Jordan Smith opened with a raise to 750,000 from under the gun, and Jeff Shulman, sitting to Smith's left, made the call.

The others folded and the flop came {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Smith continued with a bet of 650,000, then Shulman raised to 1.7 million.

Smith thought a moment while the crowd at the neighboring table continued to roar following that two-outer hit by Jamie Robbins to survive. Finally, Smith let it go.

Shulman is up to 15.1 million, and Smith is at 15.7 million.

Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again.

Buchman Puts the Pressure On

Joe Cada kept his foot on the gas, raising to 600,000 from UTG. Antoine Saout flat-called from the button and Eric Buchman called from the big blind.

The flop was {A-Spades} {8-Clubs} {7-Clubs}. Buchman checked, Cada bet 1,000,000, Saout folded, and Buchman called. The turn came the {5-Clubs}, the three clubs on the board eliciting an "oooh" from the crowd. Buchman bet 2.5 million, Saout folded and Buchman took it down.

Buchman is up to 33.95 million.

Cada Continues to Slide

Eric Buchman made it 720,000 from the small blind and Joe Cada defended his big blind.

Both players checked the {Q-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} flop. The turn was the {K-Spades} and Buchman checked to Cada who bet 1.1 million. Buchman insta-called and they went to the river which fell the {8-Diamonds}. Check-check.

Buchman turned over {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}, besting Cada's {J-Spades} {10-Spades} and picked up yet another pot.

Cada is down to 12.26 million.

Ben Lamb Eliminated in 14th Place ($633,022)

Ben Lamb opened for 655,000 chips preflop from the cutoff.

Action moved to Jeff Shulman in the big blind, who reraised enough to put Lamb all in. Needing to double up, Lamb made the call.

Lamb: {A-Spades} {J-Spades}
Shulman: {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}

The look on Lamb's face after a flop of {9-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {3-Spades} was one of utter disappointment. He puffed his cheeks out in a big sigh as he watched the curtain quickly fall on his run in the Main Event.

It ended with the {7-Diamonds} turn. At that point, Lamb was drawing dead.

He shook Shulman's hand and passed Shulman the remainder of his stack. The {2-Hearts} river card sealed the deal.

Shulman is up to 22.0 million chips.

Akenhead Puts the Squeeze On

Eric Buchman raised to 650,000, Phil Ivey called from the cutoff, and James Akenhead moved all in from the small blind. Buchman folded and Ivey stared down Akenhead for a minute before folding.

That pot took Akenhead up to 6.15 million.

James Calderaro Eliminated in 13th Place ($633,022)

A short-stacked James Calderaro open-shoved for about 2.5 million from the button, and Kevin Schaffel called from the big blind. They turned their cards on their backs:

Schaffel {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Calderaro {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}

The flop came {2-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}, and Schaffel's tens were still best. The turn brought the {Q-Spades} and an "ooh" from the crowd, noting Calderaro's spade flush draw.

But the river was the {5-Diamonds}, and Calderaro goes out in 13th. Schaffel is at 11.7 million now.

Cada Still on the Downward Spiral

Joe Cada raised to 600,000 and Steve Begleiter called from the button.

Both players checked the {J-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {3-Spades} flop. The turn was the {A-Hearts} and Begleiter's 900,000 lead bet was enough to chase away Cada.

Begleiter= 28.8 million
Cada= 11.8 million

Cada Check-Raises Ivey

Joe Cada opened for 620,000 and Phil Ivey called from the hijack seat.

Ivey led out for 800,000 on the {4-Spades} {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} flop and was met with a raise from Cada to 2.1 million. Ivey tanked for about three minutes before folding.

"Ship it baller hollers!" shouted an inebriated fan from the lounge (it's actually Holla Ballas, dude).

Cada took his stack back up to 13.2 million with that pot while Ivey slipped to 6.7 million.

Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again.
